The Academy has a thriving agency with personal representation and management for all Academy students
The Academy Agency is building a reputation for well presented and talented auditionees. We send submissions every day for TV, Films, adverts, promotions and stage roles. Our students appear in films, commercials and in the West End.
Recent auditions and call backs include: Harry Potter -Tom Riddle and Lavender, Eastenders (in the last two to play Stephen), the Doctors day time soap, The Bill, Casualty, Yell.com, Prudential, music videos and recordings and many feature films including: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Closer, The Grid, Wimbledon, 66. We provided the lead child for the London production of The Snowman. The Academy are credited on the block buster St Trinian's film for supplying feature girls. See success page for details.
For Casting Directors
The Academy provide a one stop service - a wide range of children, youth and adults - non jazz hands! Licensing processing, chaperones. We can also arrange casting sessions for you.
How it works Every Academy student is automatically represented by the Agency. We will submit suitable students for work in films, TV and publications. You must be able to get your child to auditions, often at late notice usually in London. We have suggested forming a "car pool" so parents can support each other.
Your child must be confident and able to cope with the pressure! The industry is tough and there are no guarantees of securing work but auditions are great fun.
What they will need
Head Shots - we arrange for a photographer to take a good quality basic head shot at the Academy from time to time. The cost for this is £10 - 20 If you have missed the session then you need to organise to go to a studio of your choice.
You may provide your own professional shots. The specification is: one happy, one thoughtful, one younger, one older good quality mono or colour. High res and Low res as a .jpg file emailed to me.
C.V. A standard CV with vital statistics and any experience in a Word file .doc emailed to me.
Licensing documents up to date including doctor certificate and school letter. Please note that if these are not up to date and your child is offered a part they may loose out if they cannot get a license in time. Experience has shown that there is usually not much time to get a license once contracts have been agreed.
Spotlight membership Spotlight is an industry directory. It costs £84 to join (direct to Spotlight). The Academy agency doesn't take any part of this fee or a commission. When you join Spotlight accredited casting directors can look at the child for parts. Forms are held at the admin desk at school. We will try to keep you informed of submissions but the reality is that so many are being done that we will not always be able to let you know. If a casting director is interested they will call me to arrange an audition. We must have your up to date contact details as auditions are usually arranged very quickly.
