Each term has a distinct flavour:
Autumn term 08
We are working on material for a fun Music Hall Cabaret performed at the Wilde Theatre 10th December. This production will be in the style of Music Hall and allows our students to shine with songs, monologues and sketches. Ron McAllister, MD, will continue to expand the harmony work done for Titanic with specific choral work and a selection of chorus numbers for the show. We are very pleased to announce Julian Hirst will be with us this term to build skills in a hands on manner. Bob Tomson Blood Brothers West End Director will be running a workshop.
Spring and Summer09
Each summer we produce a large scale musical in the Wilde Theatre at South Hill Park Our 2008 show Titanic sold out and received rave reviews. In January 09 auditions will be held and rehearsal schedules posted. In 2009 we will be working with a top West End director to be announced shortly. We have a reputation for bringing great creative directors on board . Our director will work with our team in between appearing in West End musicals. Ron McAllister will be teaching, staging and rehearsing the vocal numbers for the show and working on technique.

Entry into the school is by competitive audition. We are looking for students who show talent, are dedicated and willing to work as part of a team. Our students eat, live and breathe performing so it is important that new recruits feel the same. We stringently enforce our strict rules on anti social behaviour, bullying and cliques. The Academy is a very social place. There are many opportunities for students to create social events, theatre trips or extra rehearsals with full support from the team. By teaching in mixed age groups we build a true team spirit.
